Sometimes life can be hard. Unexpected things happen that can cause anxiety, fear and pain. Sometimes circumstances overwhelm us and we need support and help to find a way through. We were not meant to battle life alone. Part of the joy and privilege of belonging to a Christian community is that we help one another go through difficult times in our lives.
‘Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.’ (Galatians 6:2).
At PBC, we seek to provide a ministry of care. As part of this ministry, One2One is a team of men and women who offer one-to-one lay Christian care by coming alongside people who are going through difficulties in their lives, in order to support them and encourage them. We want to help people who are facing challenges or experiencing relationship difficulties, suffering grief or other losses such as unemployment, loss of health or depression.
If you ask for help, you will be assigned to someone who will meet with you regularly – in strict confidence – for a pre-arranged time period.
If we cannot help you ourselves, we have the resources to find someone who can. Please do not hesitate to call us and ask for help.
